At the Height of Battle - 1/1200th scale accessory set
This accessory pack allows you to increase the number and variety of ships available for use in our game "At the Height of Battle". This pack contains 9 Ming Mine Layer Ships, as used by the Chinese Navy at the time of the Imjin War. The ships are white metal castings and pack also includes a colour picture as a guide to painting.
These were used predominantly by the Ming Dynasty navies, the "minelayer" featured a detachable bow that was filled with explosives. The mine could be laid alongside an enemy ship, or a bridge or dockside and the fuse lit, allowing the stern section to be rowed away to safety.
