HMS Ambuscade served in the Royal Navy from 1975 to 1993, when she was sold to the Pakistan Navy. She also saw action in the Falklands War of 1982. Having completed her time with the Pakistan Navy there is now talk of her returning to Scotland and becoming a museum ship on the Clyde. In total 8 Type 21 Frigates served in the Royal Navy.
